Day of Wrath is a novel written by Yuri Kosach (1908-1990), a brilliant if very controversial Ukrainian emigrant writer, a nephew of an iconic Ukrainian writer Lesia Ukrayinka. This is, apparently, the most talented belles-lettres reflection of the turbulent times of Khmelnytsky Uprising in the Ukrainian literature.

Written in Germany between 1947—1948 and practically unknown to a contemporary Ukrainian reader, this masterpiece novel vividly describes an explosion of the 1648 nationwide uprising led by hetman Bohdan-Zinoviy Khmelnytsky.
